Mission

The mission of the Ohio Hematology Oncology Society is to promote excellence in the care of patients with cancer and hematologic disorders and to identify and address barriers to quality cancer care.

To fulfill this mission, OHOS works to:

• Promote high standards in the care of patients with cancer and hematologic disorders.
• Advocate for patients and oncology professionals while protecting access to quality cancer care.
• Advance hematology and oncology through education that supports healthcare professionals and improves patient outcomes.
• Protect the rights and interests of patients with cancer and hematologic disorders.
• Serve as a representative and liaison to government agencies, health plans and other payers.
• Inform members about legislative, regulatory, reimbursement and payer developments affecting cancer care.
